There aren't many organic skincare brands that can boast a lead singer of a ska band as their founder, but then, Bod Skincare is Australian.  In fact, it's pure Bondi!  Brett Pattinson's career wasn't always about therapeutic medicine.  Prior to his 'awakening', he had been on tour for 10 years with The Allniters, a reggae ska band who placed hedonism above health every day of the week.  Suffering burnout and looking for a slightly less stressful lifestyle, he turned his attention to natural medicine and enrolled in Australia's leading centre for the study of natural therapies.

Fast forward to today and Brett is a homeopath, Tai Chi Master and Shiatsu Specialist and, of course, the founder of Bod Skincare.

The Bod philiosophy combines eastern wisdom with modern therapeutic practice.  Inspired, created and handmade by trained therapeutic practitioners and using only the purest natural ingredients, Bod skincare is designed to care for your skin, promote balance and restore harmony and health.

There's a story behind the packaging of Bod Skincare too.  In keeping with the tradition of naturopaths, chemists and alchemists, bod products are preserved and packaged in amber or dark colours bottles.  The darkened bottles act to shield the products from depletion and damage caused by the elements (light, heat and air), therefore greatly enhancing the longevity, potency and effectiveness.  Bod's stylish and minimal packaging incorporates symbolic meaning, and every Bod skincare product has the Bod symbol 'kawa' meaning flow or river in Japanese.
