MÁDARA is about ecology. It means a belief that natural ingredients are the best protection for our body and mind.

At Madara, they believe that natural ingredients are the best for fighting distress, illnesses, allergies and other harm caused by environmental pollution and human alienation from nature. They believe in the wisdom of beauty and health, inherited from our great-great-grandmothers, stemming from times when people were much closer to nature.

Skin has the inherent wisdom and ability to use the necessary active substances from each plant. High levels of active ingredients - such as extracts and oils - from plants harvested in the Baltic region are included in all products. The preparations are based on pharmacological research and specially formulated to encourage the skin to restore its natural balance.

No synthetic preservatives, artificial fragrances or colours are used; the preparations are made fromonly the highest quality natural ingredients, including medicinal herbs and plants harvested according to the lunar phases..

Madara use:

• pure flowers and herb extracts from the Baltic region
• raw materials obtained from plants, for example, plant waxes, plant resins and butters
• natural vitamins, moisturisers and other active ingredients
• aromas created from essential oils
• inorganic pigments, which can be found in nature or organic pigments that are obtained from fruit, vegetables or plants
• preservatives, which can be found in nature
• other pure and natural ingredients

Madara do not use:

• petroleum products (e.g. mineral oil, petrolatum)
• parabens, phenoxyethanol and other synthetic preservatives which can have a negative effect on human health
• silicones (dimethicone, cyclomethicone), which create a pleasent velvety feel on the skin but may contain cancerous substances
• Glycols (propylene glycol, butylenes glycol etc) which are often used as humectants (moisture attractors) but are considered as toxic and mutagenic
• Polyethylene glycol (PEG), polypropylene glycol (PPG) compounds that are considered as toxic
• genetically modified ingredients
• animal by-products synthetic fragrances
